What's this?

This page is essentially a dumping site for all my other hobbies and creative pursuits in music, film, books etc.

Travel films

Filming and documenting my travelling endeavours are to me the equivalent of writing journals and travel blogs (something I could never consistently remember to do much to my mother's dismay). Making these short films also engages me more in the moment; I feel more present and aware of the beauty in my surroundings.

Guizhou, China

As part of our IB Biology curriculum, we have to complete an Internal Assessment sort of like a mini research paper. To collect the data, we had the privilege of travelling to the Kui Buri National Rainforest in Thailand. For 2 days, I braved the mosquito-ridden and shockingly dense rainforest to collect my data. Was my data good? That's debatable. Did I have a good time? 100%

Copenhagen, Denmark

In the summer of 2024, I spent the first month in Denmark with my family. Then, on July 22nd my boyfriend Max came to visit me for a whole week!! Naturally, I took him to all my favorite places and we indulged in a plethora of different baked goods and danish culinary delights (like hotdogs).  He also met all of my extended family when he came to our summerhouse. It was the best part of my summer and I finding myself rewatching this film whenever I feel that familiar wave of nostalgia.

My Mini-Library

As a self-diagnosed, compulsive book buyer and reader, I had amassed a decently sized book collection I keep in my room. To the naked eye, one would call it an orderless mess, but I would call it organised chaos.

Record Collection

Some may think the most expensive thing in our household is the TV, perhaps the sofa, maybe even the rent. In reality it's most likely the collection of records I started in summer of 2021. Yes I am well aware that Apple Music and Spotify exist and to that I say physical media (books, records, CDs, DVDs, art etc.) are so much more human and intimate than just having it on your phone. It really bridges the intangibility of the music itself and the tangibility of records. Or maybe I'm just hopelessely materialistic and feeding into my capitalist greed.
